Our Dental Services

As your choice for a family dentist in Cottonwood and Sedona, AZ, we pride ourselves on the comprehensive selection of family dentistry services that we offer for our patients. Services and treatments that we offer include but are not limited to:

  • Dental Exams – Dental exams are a requirement for all patients before beginning any type of oral treatment or dental surgery. These exams are vital to examining a patient’s teeth and making sure that there aren’t any underlying dental problems. They allow our dentists to build a foundation of data that is unique to every patient and therefore lets our team create a customized treatment plan. By catching any problems early on, we can stay ahead of many oral diseases and the amount of potential damage can be minimized.
  • Teeth Cleanings – Brushing your teeth and flossing your gums on a daily basis are simply not enough. Our routine dental cleanings will give a patient’s teeth extra brightness and help remove plaque from areas of the mouth that can’t normally be reached. We recommend scheduling teeth cleaning at least twice a year in order to maintain excellent dental health and good oral hygiene.
  • Fillings – If a tooth is suffering from decay or other damage, a filling is able to replace and restore this tooth structure. Should you have a pre-existing filling that has broken down or was created using metal that contains mercury, not to worry—we replace those too! We utilize tooth-colored composite fillings (in both resin and porcelain) to give patients more natural smiles. This allows your smile to have both a more pleasing aesthetic as well as is imperative to oral health.
  • Crowns – These are custom-made coverings that are customized to fit over your natural tooth or teeth that have decayed, cracked, or damaged due to poor oral hygiene, genetics, or accidents. Crowns are used to restore a tooth’s appearance in your smile and are helpful to reproduce the lost structure and function that was previously provided by your natural tooth/teeth before its impairment.
  • Bridges – These are dental devices that are used to cover over an area with a missing tooth and typically consist of a filler tooth that’s attached to two crowns or “bridges” two crowns together, hence the name. If you are missing a tooth, we highly recommend opting for a bridge in order to repair the structure of your smile, keep other teeth from shifting, and prevent additional wear and tear to your natural teeth that are making up the work for your lost tooth.
  • Root Canals – If a tooth is dying but is still salvageable, we suggest that you don’t wait long! Not only will the tooth pain become unbearable over time, but you also risk the opportunity of being able to save your tooth and may have to have the dying tooth extracted altogether. Our team of experts is capable of saving it by extracting the decayed pulp from the tooth, replacing it with filler, and then sealing the tooth back up.
  • Tooth Extractions – Tooth damage or infection can sometimes be remedied with a root canal, but if your tooth has reached a point where it cannot be saved, we can perform an easy and safe extraction procedure to remove it completely. To avoid an extraction, we highly recommend that you don’t wait too long before visiting our offices after feeling tooth pain. Most times tooth pain doesn’t mean you require a tooth extraction, but it’s best to air on the side of caution!
